The second tracker inside the car.
This tracker can be located near car battery or any other location. It has both accumulator battery inside and DC power from car battery: if car battery disconnected, then this tracker still works. Actually, nobody can give warranty that tracker would give enough level of protection (for different reasons), but particular this tracker allows to monitor your car from telephone, so you can see where the car located right now in real-time and additional information from the car (ex. if engine on) and what is the last moment when car was "online" (last time when received signals update). Also this tracker allows to receive a call to your phone (plus SMS to two different mobile phones) when car starts to move, so for example it can protect from car theft with loading a car onto a tow truck if you heard the call and was near the car.
I'm security specialist in the area of electronics/IT. Being Oleh Hadash in Israel (from 2017), I have a Toyota Rav4 2020 Hybrid car, so instead of paying for Comprehensive Insurance in Israel (ביטוח מקיף), from 2023 year I started to build my own systems. Three examples above are not enough to protect the car, so, for example, the next step could be to prevent car engine from being started with solutions like described by this link (that is to disable of few relays to prevent turn on engine by theft). The overall story behind this (CVE-2023-29389) is that at the end of 2022 year in China someone started to sell special devices (cost about 1500USD) that allows to open and steal the car in about 5 minutes: the thefts just connects to CAN bus of the car with wires (being outside of the car and usually connecting to the CAN bus near front lights of the car) and then can open the car immediately by sending "open doors" signal and next step they are inside the car and another few minutes to turn on engine, and all this without keys at all. You don't need to worry if you can trust me, because I can share info what to order and you can order it yourself and I can share instructions how to configure. I can give you parts that I already have too (in new boxes). I choose simple solutions, so you can install it if you want yourself.
